OK so here's where I'm gonna post my story of our group Saddle Sore 1,000 ride. We ended up with 7 bikes and 8 people that were ready to head out from Ronkonkoma, LI to somewhere in Ohio.

We were gonna go to the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum but right before we left we decided to just head out to the 500 mile mark and head back.

Here was the roster:

My xxxxx riding passenger with me on my ugly, soundin'-like-a-low-flyin' helicopter '02 V-Strom loaded to the max with everything from extra socks to a 5 gallon fuel cell.

Nick on his new to him '91 ST1100. I think he bought it just so he had a place to heat his MRE's out on the road.

Bryan on his big, cushy, cigarette smokin', coffee drinkin', 900 pound, '02 Gold Wing.

Bill Cain on his louder-then-my-V-when-it-passes -unexpectedly-between-you-and-the-barrier '97 Valkyrie.

Bill Quack on his why do you guys need all of that stuff for a ride, we're only going to Ohio? '02 ST 1100.

Brian Schulman on a '03 Aprilia Futura that he went out and bought Monday just for the trip on Thursday.

Last and certainly not least,

Ray Bendici on his who needs bags, or music, or CB's or even 5 gallons of fuel BMW R1100S.

I think Ray has to get hardcore rider award. That bike is NOT a long distance kinda bike. He rode that thing like he was going to the corner store for cigarettes. He looked bored. 4.8 gallons and a tank bag and he was set.

I gotta get some sleep so I'm just gonna post my pics and get to bed.

The Start

Bedford PA. I only remember 'cuz I stopped here on my other Saddle Sore last November.

I think this was the 6th stop. Crappy pic. Way too dark but I tried to lighten it up.
